Glory Bound: The Bantam Rep Journey V
The Elmvale Bantam Rep team, sponsored by Hapamp, played three games in the past two weeks, earning one win, one loss, and one tie.

On Friday, October 24, the Bantam Coyotes played their first home game of the season against the Collingwood Blackhawks. At the end of the first period, they trailed 3-2 and but looked good. The second period saw Collingwood shake off their slow start and pot three more goals. In the third period, the Coyotes scored one goal, but took some late penalties, ending any chance of a comeback. They lost the game 7-3, but improved their performance over their last meeting.

The Midland Centennials came to Elmvale Tuesday, October 28 for their first meeting of the year. Two periods came and went with no score, thanks to William McDowell's solid performance in net. Derek O'Neill came to life in the third, scored three goals, and earned a hat-trick in a 3-1 victory.

The Coyotes drove to Shelburne through the first snow of the season on Saturday, November 2 to face the Wolves. The Coyotes struck first and controlled the play, but took five penalties which resulted in three Shelburne power-play goals. The game ended in a 4-4 tie.

Suspensions are now done and the two injured players are back on the roster. Goals are coming from a variety of players and William McDowell is looking sharp in net. Even strength goals against is low and the defense is strong, but undisciplined penalties is hurting them in the win loss column. If they want to improve, they will need to improve their delivery of checks and reduce the number of penalties they take.

Friday Night Hockey returns to Elmvale on November 7, with the Atom Reps taking on the Stayner Cyclones at 7 pm, the Peewee Reps facing the Penetang Flames at 8:10 pm, and the Bantam Reps challenging the Georgian Shores Lightning at 9:20 pm. Come on out and support local hockey.
