Legion Tyke #1 > 2 for 2 on the weekend
It was a busy weekend for Tyke #1 with 2 games scheduled.  Fatigue was seemingly not a factor as the boys put together 2 outstanding efforts enroute to their 7th and 8th wins of the season.

On Saturday Legion Tyke #1 battled hard against their in town rival Tyke #3 and came away with a 7-3 victory. Ty played extremely well in net making plenty of great saves as Tyke #3 was able to get a lot of shots to the net.

This game highlighted excellent 2 way play by many forwards, but none was better then Nathan. Nathan picked up the 'Super Sport' award for this game, as he played his best game of the year.

On Sunday Tyke #1 was back at it, as they welcomed Oro #1 to the Coyote Den. The game started off with Oro showing a lot of hustle as they were able to take the play to Elmvale for the 1st couple of shifts. Rylan was standing tall, and up to the task as he turned away all the early pressure. Elmvale was then able to get their legs under them and slowly turn the momentum the other way.

This game was by far the best game Legion Tyke #1 has played in terms of overall hustle, teamwork and goaltending.  The gamesheet was filled with assists because the kids played an aggressive and unselfish game that resulted in a 10-1 victory.  Nikolas picked up his 2nd hat trick of the season and earned the 'Super Sport' player of the game.  Nikolas was the recipient of many good passes from linemates Tyler and Nathan.  On the other line Trenton continued to improve his play with great hustle up and down the ice.  Cameron was engaging in the play and continues to improve.  Carlos once again showed an outstanding effort, and was again one of our best forwards at both ends of the ice.  On defence, Quintin, and Benjamin played solidly in their own end, and moved the pucks out of our end to the forwards extremely well.  Jackson, and Nathan showed significant improvement with positioning both in our end and in the offensive zone.

Elmvale Legion Tyke #1, gets back at it next Saturday with a game against a very good Wasaga #1 team.  Game time 2:10 in the Coyote Den.
