FabriZone Tyke #2 season comes to an end.
FabriZone Tyke #2 closes out a fun season of hockey with a 15-6 record overall!!

Tyke #2 closed out the regular season with 3 final games against Oro, Penetang and Tyke#4.  Riley earned himself a Super Sport Player of the Game with 4 assists playing his best hockey of the year!!  Stellar netminding by Jaxson against Penetang gave the team their first shutout of the season and Jaxson his first Super Sport award!!

A special Super Sport award went to Michael in the final game for after suffering a season ending knee injury in January he came out to every remaining game to be with his team and cheer them on from the stands.

This past weekend we traveled to Wasaga for a season end tournament along with Tyke #1.  The first game against the Stars #2 the boys came out flying and not only came away with a win but first goals of the year went to Anthony, Nick and Wyatt!! Way to go guys!! The win gave us a spot in the gold division but we would need another win to secure a spot in the final.  The #1 Stars team would be our second opponent and a win against them in the regular season gave the kids some extra confidence.  The boys played great with lots of enthusiasm but the Stars team was firing on all cylinders and with a win went on the "A" gold final and we moved the "B" final.  Dundalk would be the last opponent of the season and we knew it would be tough as Tyke #1 beat them in an OT thriller in their second game of the day giving Tyke #1 a spot in the "A" final.  Dundalk wanted the victory as did we and with all the kids working hard and Kyle standing strong in net the game was tied 2-2 late in the game, but we couldn't hang on and Dundalk took the win 3-2.  Congratulations to all the kids for making it to the "B" final and to Isaac for being voted game MVP by the Dundalk coaches!

I would like to thank Doug Dutton and Dave Phillips for volunteering their time this year and making it fun for all the kids.  Also I would like to thank the parents for making the time for all the practices and games this year.  Especially I would like to thank all the kids for making it fun for us the coaches.  I had a really fun year meeting some new kids and seeing some from years past.  Everyone did great and I speak for all the coaches in saying how proud we are of all the kids and how they improved throughout the year.  Thanks very much for a great season and I hope to see you all back at the rink this fall!! Go Coyotes!!
