Cheezer's Pizza Delivers!
The Cheezer's Pizza PeeWee Local League Team 2 are off to an amazing 4-2-1 record and just suffered a heart-wrenching loss to end an awesome 3-game winning streak where they outscored their opponents 13 to 4 in those 3 games.
The high-producing line of Cale Guergis, Matthew Cameron and Lucas Scanlan light up the scoreboard; Matthew, known to his teammates as Chewie, has already netted 3 hat-tricks this early in the season. The fast and furious line of Drake Maurice, Rhys Gaudon and Ryan Temple, furiously fly around the ice and wreak havoc on their opponents, while the hard-working line of Adam Copeland, Carter Crosthwaite and Damian Lalonde are the grinders, tenaciously fighting for the puck.
Defensively, Sean Moriarty has been outstanding between the pipes, boasting an amazing 1.50 GAA including a shut-out against Midland. The defense, led by Kyle Dougherty and Jack Langman and including Olivia Tapscott, Sean McNamara, and Michael Foote, are effectively shutting down any team unlucky enough to face this red-hot Elmvale team.
The first-time coaching staff are extremely proud of how well this team is playing and developing and are excited about continuing the season in the upper echelon of teams in this league. Their goal is to finish tops in their division and to celebrate that achievement at Cheezer’s Pizza with some great food.
