Tyke Select Debut vs Orillia Terriers
Tyke Select opened their season on Sunday vs the Orillia Terriers. The kids were definitely a little nervous not knowing what to expect out of Orillia. The Terriers opened the scoring 4 minutes into the first period and kept us off the score sheet for the first 13 minutes of the game. With the kids starting to come together Luke P. got us on board but we found ourselves down 2-1 going into the third.
With only 8 minutes left in the game all the kids came on strong. Gavin S. shut the door the rest of the way in net and with 2 goals each by Isaac J. and Elijah W. Elmvale came out with a 5-2 victory! Julia K., Luke P. and Trenton P. all earned 2 assists each with some great team work!
Congratulations to Elijah W. for receiving Player of The Game for some great hustle getting back defensively and 2 goals as well! Great job everyone!
