A great battle and a tie sets the tone for game #2 of the home and home
On the 11th of January 2014 the Elmvale Home Building Center Tyke #1 squared off with the Elmvale Legion Tyke #2 in game one of two.

Caleb Dorion opened the scoring for the Elmvale Home Building Center with an unassisted goal.  Beckham Westcott was quick to respond for the Elmvale Legion with two back to back goals to take his team up by one going into the second.

In the second period both teams faced some hot goal-tending with William Veenstra in net for the Elmvale Home Building Center and Rowan Forigo backstopping for the Elmvale Legion.  Wescott responded quickly for his team in the second scoring within the first minute of the period.  Carter Laurin responded with two quick goals in the same shift to bring his team closer to tying this close affair.  The Elmvale Legion would have nothing to do with a loss netting two more goals to extend their lead once again taking a 5-3 lead into the third.

After a quick pep talk at the beginning of the third by the Elmvale Home Building Center coaching staff Braeden Begley responded with a beauty for his team.  Once again the Elmvale Legion were quick to respond with Tyler Shaw netting his first of three.  Caleb Dorion then decided to take matters into his own hands scoring three in the third to tie the game up.  Carter Laurin then broke in alone for his team and netted his third of the game to put his team up by one.  With two minutes remaining in the game and the Elmvale Home Building Center thinking they might have their second win of the season Tyler Shaw scored his third tying the game up.

The last two minutes was a rough one with both teams trying to score that last goal to put their team up but in the end nobody could net that last one and the score remained 8-8.  Both teams battled hard and with that rough last two minutes it set the tone for the second game of the home and home stand which will take place next Saturday at 2:15
