Lynn Stone Funeral Home - Elmvale Atom LL #1, Playing Hard and Having Fun!
At the halfway point in the season and the Lynn Stone Funeral Home Atom LL#1 Coyotes are working hard and having fun. The 5-3-2 record is very optimistic considering two of those loses came against the first place and undefeated team from Oro.
The team is lead by Coach Trish, her two assistants, Tom and Tye and the Trainer, Jen. John is the team Manager and keeps this group organized.
With all good teams it starts with who's between the pipes. This team is no exception with Jamie M playing great and giving this team a chance to win every game. She is helped by Christopher H, Nicholas C, Matthew M, Robbie B and Danielle M. A solid D group that are there to keep the opposition to the outside, swipe away any loose pucks and clear anyone trying to get to the blue paint. This group will only be strengthened with the return of Jacob M who has been on IR since early Nov.
Our forward group is strong up the middle with Joshua N, Connor S, and Jacob H creating space with good speed and puck handling ability. They help carry the play up the ice and always help back check to support the D. These guys have 6 skilled wingers in Emerson O, Carter H, Owen C, Nolan S, Jonas C, and Matthew B to pass the puck to that create chances and form three lines that are a threat to produce every shift.
The Coyotes played their first tournament in Wasaga on Nov 23rd and lost in overtime for the Silver Side A Championship. Three games in one day is tough but the kids gave it their all and had a great day. Their next tournament is in Brighton in January and this team looks to finish the last 10 games strong to ride the momentum into the playoffs. Go Coyotes Go!
