Hapamp Bantam Rep Win vs Midland
The Hapamp Bantam Rep Coyote team was at home Tuesday Oct 22nd looking to extend their unbeaten streak against the visiting Midland Centennials. The Centennials handed the Coyotes their only loss in exhibition play and through the first period this games appeared headed for a similar result with the Coyotes being outplayed and outshot 10 to 1. Halfway through the second period the Coyotes were lucky to be only trailing 1-0 while only managing 1 shot on goal.

Minutes later the Elmvale team would tie the score at 1 when Troy Bellisle would find the back of the net with an assist going to Nevin King. This goal seemed to be the turning point for the Coyotes as not long after Owen King would pick up a loose puck from the corner and beat the Midland Goaltender from a sharp angle giving the Elmvale team their first lead of the game. After 2 periods the score was 2-1 for the home team. Early in the 3rd the Centennials would catch the Coyotes on a line change and even the score at 2-2. Minutes later Alex Sweeney would restore the Coyote lead when he finished off a pass from Nevin King with an added assist to Charlie Flieger. The Centennials refused to give up and quickly evened the score at 3-3. With few minutes left on the clock Derek Sweeney poked a loose puck to Tye King who made no mistake in putting it past the Midland goalie, giving the Coyotes a 4-3 lead. With solid goaltending from Kaiden Maw the Elmvale team was able to withstand the last minute pressure from the Centennials and hold on for the win. The Hapamp Bantam Rep Coyotes are hoping to carry on their early season success when they travel to Halliburton to take part in the Cody Hodgson Bantam Tourney.
