U13 LL #2 Wrap Up
A great end to a great season!

It is with grateful hearts we wrap up the U13 LL#2 hockey season. Huge shout out to JN Roofing and Contracting for the sponsorship. At our first meeting as a team, the coaches said they wanted an atmosphere that was fun, where everyone was excited to come to the rink. Marked by the laughter heard from the dressing rooms and the smiles on and off the ice, this group of kids had so much fun as a team. The parents did too! Thank you, Chad Moreau (Head Coach), Jason Giffen (Assistant Coach), and Adam Kypers (Trainer) for building this team, encouraging sportsmanship, improvement in skills, hockey IQ and most importantly, building friendship and team dynamic. Jason Marchildon (Manager) has been this team’s biggest champion and his exceptional organization has been instrumental in our success. Marked by continuous improvement, we ended our season at the 72nd Annual Young Canada Week tournament in Goderich. Our round robin game play resulted in a tie with Goderich and wins against Mid-Huron and Huron Bruce. In the words of our fearless leader, Chad, “what you put in, you get out”. This team put in an effort that earned them a spot in the tournament championship. After an exciting game, including a penalty shot and overtime game play, these kids earned a much-deserved silver medal and a banner that will be displayed in the rink! Congratulations to all!

To the players, your persistence and hard work is recognized and respected. Excitement and cheers could be heard when the tenacious “JAM” line of Jocelyn (#6), Anabel (#14) and Maeve (#17) were on the ice together. Our fearless and feisty forwards include Griffin (#4), Liam (#5), Daniel (#9), Adrian (#10), Prestin (#11), Cole (#12), and Lincoln (#15). Harry (#2) and Troy (#7) patiently and consistently delivered strong defence. And Everett’s (#31) focus and reflexes resulted in countless important saves in between the pipes.
