Annual Elmvale Maple Syrup Tournament Final Results
Twenty four teams from all across Ontario competed in forty five games played in Elmvale and Coldwater to determine bragging rights for our U11, U13 and U15 Rep divisions.

The four teams left standing after the Round robin games in the U11 division were the Saugeen Shores Storm, Midland Centennials, Thorold Blackhawks and our very own Elmvale Coyotes.
Saugeen Shores earned the shutout victory over Midland and Thorold earned the shutout victory over our Coyotes in a hard fought 1-0 win.
The finals saw the Thorold Blackhawks battle the top ranked Saugeen Shores Storm for 35 minutes with the Saugeen Shores team earning the 3-1 win and title as U11 Maple Syrup Tournament Champs.

Thorold goalie #31 Kole Martone was awarded Goaltender of the tournament while Saugeen Shores #9 Jack Tiffin was awarded top Defensemen and #16 Will Conley was named top Forward.

A special mention to the Thorold Blackhawks parents and fans who put on an amazing display in the foyer and made all their Thorold players feel like Champions.  They displayed what playing hockey should be all about...

In our U13 division the Port Colborne Sailors, North Middlesex Stars, Newcastle Stars and Midland Centennials played Sunday morning for a chance to play in the Finals later on that day.
The North Middlesex Stars and Newcastle Stars came out victorious and the two teams played in the finals to determine who the real Stars were.  In a epic battle Newcastle proved their were worthy of the Stars name in a hard fought 3-2 win over the equal Stars from North Middlesex.

Newcastle goalie #00 Chase MacDonald walked away with the Goaltender of the tournament with a great final game.  Teammate #18 Wyatt Schonoman won Forward of the Tournament while North Middlesex #19 Camden Machichan was named top Defensemen of the Tournament.

In our U15 division it was the hottest contested RR you might ever see.  All the games were close with several ties along the way.  Surviving to make it to semi final play were the Mitchell Meteors, South Greenville Rangers, Woodville Hurricanes and the Mariposa Lightning.
In one semi the South Greenville team were able the survive the Meteors attack from Mitchell and get a 3-1 win.  In the other semi the Hurricanes from Woodville outlasted the Lightning strike from Mariposa with a nail biting 2-1 win.
The finals saw the South Greenville Rangers crowned champions in a physical 5-2 win over the Woodville Hurricanes.
Woodville Forward #66 Kruz Martin was awarded top Forward, while South Greenvilles #30 Luca Dioguardi and #8 Shayden Schapelhouman won top goalie and defensemen respectively.

Thank you to all the teams for coming out to our Elmvale Maple Syrup Country Tournament.  Best of Luck to all teams still competing in the playoffs.
Thanks also to all the referees and timekeepers and volunteers who helped make the tournament run smoothly.
