Who let the dogs out!? Terriers and Coyotes in their second match up of the year.
Tyke Select finishes up the month of February with their second game of the year against the Orillia Terriers and come away with a win to improve to 3-3. Orillia looking to avenge their 5-2 loss earlier in the year, came out on fire scoring 9 seconds in. A quick response from Isaac 50 seconds later tied the game. The kids didn't look back and put together a defensive masterpiece with Elijah in net, and Ben, Cameron and Jake shoring up the blue line. 2-1 after 1 period, then 4-1 with 2 periods gone Orillia was back on their heels. 3 more goals in the 3rd finished off the Terriers with a 7-1 win. A variety of jersey numbers on the sheet indicated another game of team work paying off. Isaac 2 goals 1 assist, Julia 1 goal, Nik 2 assists, Cam 1 goal 2 assists, Jake 1 assist, Luke 1 goal 1 assist, Trent 2 assists. Ben on defense earned himself player of the game with great 2-way play, 2 goals and 1 assist as well!!
The Tyke Selects next head to Orillia March 11-12 for their second tournament of the year.
