Tyke 3 Off To A Strong Start.
As the new hockey year begins, the Tim Horton's Tyke 3 have stormed out of the gate with a 2-0 record. This year, a new inter-league was created for the Tyke division due to the strong support of roughly 60 kids, creating five separate teams which will play against each other for the season. Tyke 3 started the season with one practice before the fall fair break then hitting the ice 2 weeks later to face Tyke 4. After a slow start the team rallied to score 12 goals in a 12-4 victory.
The following week saw them traveling across the arena to face a tough Tyke 2 squad. After a nail biting 32 min. of end to end hockey The Tyke 3 team again left with a 3-0 victory.
The two games saw Josh P, Broden C, Garret F, Hannah S, Bradford E and Riley J hit the twine in the back of the net with helpers from Nick J and Cooper M. Great defensive play by Julian B, Charlotte S and Chase S coupled with strong goaltending from Cole KG have all led to a great start.
