McNamara Novices On A Roll
The McNamara Novices continued their winning ways at home this past weekend. Managing to secure another 2 wins and improve their record to 6-0.
The Parry Sound Shamrocks provided the competition on Saturday. Elmvale was able to get up early and Gavin would earn his 3rd shutout of the season in the 9-0 victory.
On Sunday, the Flames from Penetang would visit the Den for an afternoon match up. Penetang provided a well balanced attack that kept the Coyotes on their toes. Elmvale was able to create a 4-0 lead mid way through the 3rd period, but a Coyote penalty led to a power play goal for Penetang. Penetang built some momentum from that goal and continued to pressure the Coyote defense for the remainder of the game. Penetang would score a 2nd goal to narrow the gap to 2, but the Coyotes were able to fend off the remainder of the attack and secure a 4-2 win.
The McNamara Novices will travel to Owen Sound next Sunday (Nov 3rd) for their only game next weekend and then will host the Collingwood Blackhawks the following Sunday (Nov 10th) at 2:25 in their next home game.
