Rules & Regulations
Standard Hockey Canada & OMHA rules apply.
Any player who receives a major penalty for fighting or a match penalty will no longer be able to participate in the tournament.
On ice official's rulings are final and not subject to protest.
Game Lengths
Round Robin Portion (10-10-10 > No Overtime)
Championship Round (10-10-15 > 5 Min Sudden Death (4 on 4) > Shootout)
3 minute warm up starting once the zamboni doors are closed. No players are allowed on the ice until zamboni doors are closed.
Mercy Rule
In effect for all games except championship game.
Running time after 5 goal spread (3rd Period Only).
Returns to stop time once there is only a 4 goal differential.
Penalty duration does not change during running time (ie minor penalties are still 2 minutes). Time continues to run during penalties, and players must wait in penalty box until play resumes if penalty expires during a stoppage.
Shootout
Round 1
3 Player Shootout (Not Sudden Death). Teams do not take shots simultaneously.
3 unique players communicated to on ice officials in order.
Players serving penalties at end of overtime are not eligible to participate in shootout
Round 2
Same as round 1 except for the following.
It is sudden death.
Players from round 1 can be used again.
One 30 second time out will be permitted in all tournament games.
Standings (Top 2 From each division advance to single elimination championship round)
Win = 2 Points, Tie = 1 Point
Tie Breakers
All round robin game results used in tie breakers
In games that end in Mercy the goals for will be recorded as the goals against + 5 goals (A 9-1 win would be recorded as 6-1 for tie breaking purposes)

Wildcards Berths
Two (2) wildcard berths are available to teams not placing 1st or 2nd in their divisions.
The tie breaking formula for these teams will be as follows:

Goals For Percentage (Goals For / Total Goals) > Remember Mercy games are recorded a GA + 5
Least Penalty Minutes
Flip of a coin
Wildcard #1 will be the highest ranked wildcard unless that lines either of the wildcards up with a team in their own division in which case they will be flipped in order to play a team not in their divisions.
Floods between games only
Teams are expected to bring 2 sets of jerseys. Home team is to wear their light coloured jersey and take the appropriate bench on the ice, while the visiting team is to wear their dark coloured jersey. If conflict exists then visiting team will change their jerseys. Home / Visitors for Round Robin play has been predetermined by random draw.
Home team for championship round is noted on the master schedule.
Team officials are responsible for the actions of their team both on and off the ice.
Team officials are to ensure dressing rooms are vacated timely, and tidy.
The sponsors of this tournament, its officials, arena management and all persons concerned with the tournament will not be held liable for any loss, injury, or accident which may occur by any player, team official while participating in, coming to, or going from the tournament.
