The Brian English Memorial Tournament honors the memory of Brian English, a dedicated referee and supervisor who tragically passed away at the age of 26 while officiating a minor hockey game in Elmvale, Ontario. Brian's athletic prowess and coaching endeavors left a lasting impact, and we remember him for his passion for hockey, running, and teaching. His remarkable achievements, including being named Athlete of the Year three times at St. Mary in Pickering and his success in cross-country running at Laurentian University, continue to inspire us. With the support of Brian's father, we are proud to keep his memory alive through this tournament.
