The Elmvale Home Building Center Tyke #1 pull out their first win
On Saturday December 14th, the Elmvale Home Building Center Tyke #1 took on the Elmvale Foodland Tyke #4 in hard a fought battle to take home their first win.

What a game it was.  Both teams battling hard, every player carrying the puck for their respective teams towards the oppositions goal hoping to get that shot off on net.  Every player was skating off the ice between shifts grinning from ear to ear.  The players had a great time.

Caleb Dorion started the scoring for Tyke 1, taking his team to an early lead but Tyke 4 were quick to respond with a goal of their own to tie the game up.  Carter Laurin quickly responded for Tyke 1, netting his first with 1:19 remaining in the period putting his team up for the second period.

Tyke 4 got the second period off quickly with Joel Therrien putting one past Tyke #1's net minder Myah Veenstra. Jacob Holt and Laurin responded in the second for Tyke 1, putting their team up by a score of 4-2 heading into the third period.

Laurin netted three more in the third to take his team to victory.  The Elmvale Home Building Center coaching staff were very proud of their players as they all passed the puck well among themselves.  Tyke 4 had several great scoring chances but good goal tending by Myah Veenstra and great back checking from all of the players assisted them in earning their first victory.
