Whitfield Guardian Pharmacy Midgets Moving On!
The 2014-2015 Whitfield Guardian Pharmacy Midget Rep Team Coyote's have been working hard since tryouts.  Steadily improving and strengthening their game.  The boys traveled to Lincoln last October for an early season tournament.  They played hard and earned themselves a spot in the semi finals. It was a back and forth game that headed to overtime. Unfortunately they came up short and they lost that one.

In a little less than a month the boys proudly played in their home tournament, The Brian English Memorial Tournament.  Once again they found themselves in a similar situation.  Team work placed them in the semi-finals once again.  Again it was a game headed to overtime.  And again it wasn't meant to be for the home team who lost in the overtime period.

The team played 500 hockey during their regular season, despite suspensions, penalty minutes and injuries.

The first round of OMHA's started against Oro. This was a best 3 out of 5 series.  Elmvale was able to defeat the Oro team in three straight games 5-2, 5-2 and 3-2.

Next the boys would face the Flames from Penetang.  They beat Penetang in pre season but were unable to notch a win in the regular season.  Again a best 3 out of 5 this series started with a 3-2 loss in Penetang.  Game two was played back to back with the Coyotes playing at home.  This game was all Elmvale, with a commanding 6-1 win.  The series tied up, game three was back in Penetang.  The Elmvale boys knew Penetang would come out fighting, but they also knew they were up for the challenge. It was again much like the first game back and forth but ended in a 3-2 win in Elmvale's favour this time.  Game four on a Friday night at the Elmvale arena what is any more hockey than that?  Again players, coaches and parents all knew that Penetang would be at their best, with their backs against the wall they would be out to fight for every faceoff, every loose puck and every scoring chance they could get.  The final score saw Elmvale take the game 3-1 and the series as well.

Now the midget team is off to the quarter finals that will see them play against Kincardine.  They will start this weekend, heading to Kincardine on Saturday and returning to play at home on Family Day, Monday Feb 16th.

This year's team consists of the following players and coaches: Evan Marlowe, Brayden McLean, Owen King, Joe Moir, Trenton Mix, Macky Larmer, Josh Lombard, Andrew Priest, Coby Jonkman, Jake Lalonde, Nevin King, Tye King, Ryan Dauphin, Zack McLean, Thomas Maw, Charlie Flieger, Patrick Brunet, Kaiden Maw ... Head Coach Jeff Moreau, Asst Coaches Graham Schepers, Paul Craddock, Mike Klein Gebbinck and Trainer Josh Klein Gebbinck
