17-18 Atom Rep - Elmvale Lions Club Atom Reps Off To An Exciting Start
Submitted By Kevin Fay on Sunday, November 05, 2017

Thirteen young members of Elmvale Minor Hockey worked hard and were honoured to be picked to Represent our Community as Members of the Elmvale Coyotes Atom Rep team sponsored by our Local Elmvale Lions Club.

Since those days in early September this group of players have practiced hard, listened attentively and represented Elmvale with Class and Sportsmanship.
Not only have this group of players played hard and had some early season success they also have proven to be great athletes with all 13 members recently competing in their local Cross Country Meets.  Bryce McLaren finished an impressive 4th, Jacob Holt finished 5th and Bryson Yardy at 16th. With many of our other players finishing in the top 35 out of over 120 runners.  Way to go team.

As for hockey the Elmvale Atom Rep team competed in the Bobby Orr Hall of Fame Tournament in Parry Sound in mid October and played 4 exciting and close games.  Losing out in the Semi Finals to the eventual tournament champions from Prince Edward County.

In Georgian Bay League the team has played mostly BB teams to start the season and still have managed to come away with an impressive 4 wins and 3 losses.  With 9 of the teams first 11 games decided by one goal this team knows how to play in close games.  The Atom Rep team looks to continue to improve and prep themselves for a long Playoff run in January.

Helping the team to reach their goals is Veterans Kevin and Cullen Fay, along with rookies Jeff Mogridge, Ryan Palmer, Teri Mino and Jacob Fay.
This exciting, hardworking and unselfish team is made up of; Nolan "The Goalie" Krause, defensive strongholds Preston Fay, Mitchell Hales, Cooper Mogridge and Evan Mino.  Fast skating forwards that include; Bryce McLaren, Jacob Holt, Garrett Fay, Jackson Clemens, Ethan Palmer, Emery Stephens, Noah Johnston, and Bryson Yardy who plays both forward and defense for his team.
Thanks also to our AP's who are awaiting their first game action, Liam Van Loosen, Grayson Alexander and Allison Birch.

Come out and support your Elmvale Lions Club Atom Coyotes Rep team, you will get your moneys worth and will not leave disappointed.  Go Coyotes Go!!!
