EMHA has rented the skate sharpening room and is offering FREE skate sharpening's for its members!
Dear EMHA Families,
We wanted to share some exciting news with you. This year, EMHA has made a significant addition to our facilities by acquiring a skate sharpener and renting the Skate Sharpening room at the arena.
As a way to benefit our players, EMHA will be offering each of them 5 free skate sharpenings. On Tuesday, November 7th, you can take advantage of this service between 4 PM and 9 PM. All you need to do is bring your skates and let us know your name and which team you play for. We provide two standard sharpening options: a ½ cut and a ⅝ cut. The ⅝ cut provides a little more glide on the ice, while the ½ cut offers a bit more bite.
Please note that the availability of the skate sharpening room will be sporadic until we have volunteers to help run it. Stay tuned to our website and social media channels for updates on when the skate sharpening room will be open.
If you're interested in volunteering to help with skate sharpening, our sharpener is a Sparx automated machine, and it's easy to learn how to use. This is a great way to fulfill your volunteer hours. Don't hesitate to reach out to Melissa Peterson or Anthony Lalonde if you'd like to get involved.
