The Elmvale Coyotes U15B, sponsored by Lynne Stone Funeral Home, stormed through the Midland Silver Stick tournament this weekend, proving that determination, teamwork, and a little bit of bite go a long way.
The Coyotes opened the event by stealing the luck right out from under the Shamrocks, controlling the pace and setting the tone early. In their next matchup, the Vipers tried to strike back, but their venom had nothing on Elmvale’s speed and puck pressure.
From there, the Coyotes outshone Newcastle’s Stars, skating with confidence as they continued their undefeated run. The semifinals brought the South Muskoka Bears, but the Coyotes showed no fear, devouring their opponents with relentless offense and airtight defense to punch their ticket to the championship final.
In the gold medal showdown, Elmvale faced the Lindsay Muskies in what became the Coyotes’ biggest catch of the tournament. With disciplined play, clever passing, and undeniable heart, the Coyotes “hooked” the Muskies to secure the championship title.
The Elmvale Coyotes now set their sights on an even bigger stage as they head to the International Silver Stick Tournament in Forest, Ontario, from January 9–11.
