What an incredible year it has been for the U5 Elmvale Coyotes!
We saw a fantastic turnout for the EMHA U5 program this season, and the consistent attendance from our players has been truly impressive. It has been an absolute pleasure to coach this wonderful group of boys and girls and to witness their development firsthand.
The progress these kids have made is nothing short of amazing. We started our very first practice with skating assist devices out on the ice, but it didn't take long before those were left behind and the players were absolutely flying around the rink. Best of all? Not a single tear was shed! They have tackled their skating, shooting, and puck-handling drills with pure joy and excitement week after week.
While the skill-building has been great, our favorite moments have definitely been game time. Whether we are playing "What time is it Mr. Wolf?" (or "Mr. T-Rex," as some of the kids prefer to call it!) or a spirited round of Cops and Robbers, the energy is unmatched. In fact, these young players have become such true speedsters that it is now nearly impossible for the "robber" coaches to escape the "cop" players!
Of course, all that hard work builds an appetite. A huge thank you to our team sponsor, Tim Hortons—the players are always thrilled to enjoy some well-earned Timbits after practice.
Finally, a big shout-out to the parents. Whether you were lending a hand out on the ice or putting in the commitment at home to help progress your child's skating skills, your support has been deeply appreciated. Thank you for making this such a memorable season for the Coyotes!
