Registration (Elmvale Minor Hockey)

Welcome to the 2025/2026 Hockey Season!

 

Spring tryouts will occur for U8MD, U9MD, U11B, U13B, and U15B between May 3-17 (please see our association calendar for age specific dates and times).

Tryout fees ($75) are due at the time of registration.  Refunds will only be granted if a written request to the registrar ([email protected]) is received at least 24 hours prior to the first session.

Players who are not successful in our ‘B’ tryouts will automatically be added to the list for our second entry team tryouts and are not required to register again.

Elmvale Minor Hockey Association (EMHA) will open online registration for any player interested in playing local league (U5, U7, U8, U9, U11, U13, U15, and U18) on Thursday, May 15th.  All players who are interested in playing local league will need to register online (using the link below - link will appear on May 15th).

 

Registration for U18B tryouts will also open on May 15th. (using the link below - link will appear on May 15th).

 

2025-26 Registration Fees

 

Name Bars:

EMHA requires each player in U7-U18 to have a name bar on their home and away jersey.  The cost for these name bars ($40/player).  If you do not have name bars from last season, please add ‘Jersey Bars’ onto your registration when you register online.  

Volunteering:

During the 2025-2026 season, each EMHA family will be required to complete volunteer hours which will be approximately 10 hours.  As part of the online registration, you will be asked which volunteer option within the association (e.g. tournaments, fall fair dance, etc.) you would like to commit to.  Families who would prefer not to volunteer have the option of buying out for $200.  When registering you can indicate if you would prefer to buyout of the volunteer commitment.

Fundraising:

This season EMHA is continuing with their Raffle Ticket fundraising which will require each family (NOT each player) to pay $120 (6 raffle tickets at $20/each).  NEW THIS YEAR - You can add the fundraising fee to your online registration during the registration process.   

 

Payment Options:

Etransfers will once again be available this year and will be our preferred payment option in order to reduce administrative costs.  If you choose etransfer, please ensure that you add all of your player’s names in the notes during the etransfer so that we can track payments.  Families will also have the option of paying by credit card at the time of registration online.  Etransfer and credit card payments can be a one time payment or can be made in 4 equal installments (25% at the time of registration, June 15, July 15, and August 15).  

***ALL registrations must be received by August 1st.  All registrations are time-stamped and available spots will be offered on a first-come, first serve basis***

The cut off date for registered players to submit full payment will be August 15th.  If payment is not received by this time the spot will be given to someone on the waiting list. 

Late Fees and Refunds:

Any player who was registered with EMHA in the 2024-2025 season will be charged a $25 late fee if they register after August 1st, 2025.  

Refunds will be granted according to the date the written application is received by the Registrar and the following:

1. There is a $25 administration fee that is non-refundable for each participant who registers.

2. Late fee is non-refundable

3. Fundraising fee is non-refundable

4. 100% refund (less the administration fee) for refunds requested prior to the 1st tryout of the division the player is registered for.  For divisions without tryouts, the latest tryout date for the association will be used as their date for 100% refund.

5. 90% refund (less the administration fee) for refunds requested following the first tryout to the end of September.

6. 75% refund (less the administration fee) for refunds requested during October.

7. 50% refund (less the administration fee) for refunds requested during November.

8. 0% refund for requests made after November 30th

 

To complete the online registration process, click on the link at the bottom of this page (link will appear on May 15th) which will take you to the EMHA Local League Online Registration page on the Hockey Canada Registry (HCR) website and follow the instructions there.  If you have not registered your child in HCR in the past, you will need to create an account in HCR before you can register.  In order to complete your registration you will need to select a method of payment and go through the checkout process.     

• If you are new to the area and your child has played previously for a different association, you will need to fill out an OMHA Residential Move Form
