Hapamp Bantam Rep On a Roll
This week the Hapamp Bantam Rep Team played three games and came out on top in all three.  After coming off of their first regular season loss of the season, the Elmvale Bantam Rep Coyotes traveled to Meaford on Tuesday, Nov. 5th, to battle the Georgian Shores Lightning.   The Coyotes came out strong in the first and put constant pressure on the Lightning keeping them pinned in their end for most of the period. The Lightning would fail to register a shot on goal in the period.

The Coyotes strong fore-check would continue through most of the game and the Coyotes would only score on 3 of their 38 shots on goal, with the final score being Coyotes 3 Lightning 0.  Goal Scorers for the Hapamp Bantam Rep team were Nevin King, Andrew Priest and Tye King with helpers from goaltender Kaidan Maw, Priest, Owen King and Brock KleinGebbinck.

Just three days later, the Hapamp Bantam Rep team would be at home for the Friday Night Elmvale home game where they would host the Wasaga Stars.  The Coyotes came out strong and played one of their best periods of hockey leading the stars by 5 after the one period of play.  With the game in hand the Coyotes would play the next 2 periods doing what was necessary to maintain the goal margin they had established. Final score would be Elmvale Coyotes 10 Wasaga Stars 3.  Goals were scored by Tye King(2), Nevin King(2), Troy Bellisle, Derek Sweeney, Alex Sweeney, Jordan Agar, Charlie Flieger and Brock KleinGebbinck. Assists were had by Jake Lalonde, Tye King, Bellisle(2), Nevin King(2), Andrew Priest, Agar(2), Matt Clarke(2), Flieger and KleinGebbinck. The Elmvale

Coyotes would travel to Stayner on Sunday, Nov 10th, to face off against the Stayner Cyclones.  Midway through the first, Nevin King would put the Coyotes up 1-0 when he fired a hard shot by the Cyclones netminder.  Just 2 minutes later, Alex Sweeney would knock in a Tye King rebound with an added assist going to Charlie Flieger. The first period would end with the Elmvale team up by a score of 2-0.  Early in the third, Matt Clarke cleanly won a face-off giving the puck to Derek Sweeney who wristed a shot at the net that Jordan Agar tipped past the Cyclone goalie, giving the Coyotes a 3-0 lead.  Late in the game, Alex Sweeney would strip the puck off of a Stayner defenceman and feed it to an open Nevin King who made no mistake in scoring his second of the game.  Final Score Coyotes 4 Cyclones 1.

The Hapamp Bantam Rep Coyotes will be back in action next, on Friday Nov 15th, when they host the Brian English Memorial Bantam/Midget Tournament.  Teams from Lambeth, St.Mary’s, Listowel and Flesherton will be competing in the Bantam Division.  Hapamp Bantam Rep games will be at 3pm vs Flesherton Golden Hawks and at 8pm vs Lambeth Lancers. Both games will be played at the Elmvale arena. Come on out and cheer the boys on in their effort to capture their second tournament title of the season.
