Elmvale Maple Syrup Tournament Done for Another Year
The Home town Elmvale Coyotes weren't the greatest host winning two of the 3 Championships.
Twenty four teams played 45 games over 3 days to determine who was the best team at this years Maple Syrup Tournament.
Four of the six semi final games went to overtime or shootout to determine who could compete in the Championship Finals.
In the U9 division the Minto Mad Dogs were crowned champions with a exciting 5-4 win over their new arch rivals the Seaforth Stars.
In the U11 division we saw two teams who had came off semi final overtime and shootout wins respectively. Our Elmvale Coyotes were victorious over the Collingwood Jr Blues. These two teams have battle all season and will surely battle each other again this season.
Our U13 Elmvale Coyotes proved too strong for the competition all weekend and were able to hold off a hard working team the Caledonia Thunder to claim the Championship.
All 24 teams should be commended for their hard work, skill and good sportsmanship that they displayed all weekend.
