The 2013-2014 Elmvale Minor Hockey
Peewee Rep team was chosen by coach Dean Robertson on September 12.
Since then, the team has practised four times and played three
exhibition games, earning a record of one win, one loss, and one tie.
More importantly, they have started to evaluate their strengths and
weaknesses, and build some team unity.
After four practices that saw over 50 hopefuls try out, 13 skaters and two goalies were named to the team. Jacob Bouzis, Ben Dietrich, Jeremy Robertson, and Jack Sneddon, all part of last year's team that fought their way to the OMHA Semi Finals, return bringing leadership to the team. Six feisty first year players, Blake Columbus, Carter Crowder, Ethan Faris, Raymond Haring, Jack Nell, and Jason Priest bring valuable playoff experience. They were all part of the Atom Rep team last year that made it to the OMHA Finals.
Carson Currie and Noah Dion bring personal determination and a year of experience from last year's Elmvale Peewee AE team. William McDowell and Adam McIntaggart, also from the AE team, will share the goal tending duties. Both tended net several times last year for the Peewee Rep team, and have what it takes to give their teammates confidence. Henry King makes his return to Elmvale after playing for Coldwater. He is quickly learning team systems and hopes to make a big contribution.
Assisting Coach Dean Robertson are Rob Sneddon and Jared Robertson as trainers. Andy Currie will keep all organized as the team Manager.
