Peewee Rep Give It Their All in Two Games
The Gary Edgecombe CA Peewee Rep Coyotes are showing the signs of a team on a mission. They played two strong games, won one and lost one, but worked hard together from beginning to end.

On Friday, December 20, the Coyotes hosted the struggling Shelburne Wolves in their first of two meetings this season. Both teams played cautiously in the first, and only the Coyotes were able to score. The second period saw the Coyotes score two more as the team gained confidence. The Wolves found themselves in penalty trouble trying to contain the Coyote shooters, and the game ended in a 6-0 Coyote victory. Carson Currie scored his first goal of the season. William McDowell earned the shutout.

The team travelled to Collingwood's new rink on Saturday, December 21, to face the undefeated Blackhawks in their first and only meeting of the season. The Coyotes came out flying and took the Blackhawks by surprise. If not for the hot Blackhawk goalie, the Coyotes would have led by three. The first period ended with the Blackhawks up 1-0. Five minutes into the second period, Carter Crowder's persistent work in front of the net tied the game. Late in the second, Collingwood regained the lead on a power play. The Coyotes really wanted a win and came out strong in the third. The play went back and forth, and only in the last two minutes did Collingwood slip a third goal past the solid Adam McIntaggart. The Coyotes left the ice with their heads held high. They played as a team for the entire game and never gave up.

They will play the Oro Thunder at home on Friday, January 10, at 8:20, in what could be their last of four remaining regular season games. Spectators are always welcome.
