Hapamp Unbeaten Streak Comes To An End
The Hapamp Bantam Rep team took their 13 game unbeaten streak (11-0-2) into
Collingwood on Sat Nov 2nd facing the home team Blackhawks. Early on in the
contest the Elmvale Coyotes controlled the play and had several high quality
scoring chances but failed to capitalize.
After one period of play the score would be 0-0. The second period belonged to the Blackhawks as they scored early and seemed to gain momentum from the goal. The Coyotes were out chanced in the period and welcomed the Zamboni at the end of the second trailing the home town Blackhawks 1-0.
A rejuvenated Elmvale team came out to play the third and immediately their strong fore-checking rewarded them with scoring opportunities, none of which they were able to put by the Collingwood netminder. Late in the game with the Hapamp Bantam Rep team pressing, the Blackhawks would put the game away when they would score on one of their few chances. A frustrated Coyote team would quickly give up another goal making the final score, Collingwood Blackhawks 3, Elmvale Coyotes 0.
The Hapamp Bantam Rep will look to start another streak when they travel to Meaford on Tuesday, Nov 5th to take on the Georgian Shores Lightning.
