As the weather starts getting warmer and snow starts to melt many teams have finished their seasons and put their hockey equipment away for the summer and started dusting off their lacrosse sticks, golf clubs and baseball bats. This is not the case for the Diamond Head Sprinklers Atom LL team. This weekend they will be representing Elmvale, along with Elmvale LL2 at the Huntsville tournament. This was meant to be a great way to wind up the year but their great effort and team work has landed them in a series for the B championship next week against Oro.

This past weekend the Diamond Head Sprinklers Atom Local League team battled their way down to Hagersville for their first tournament of the year. Their first opponent was a tough one and came on the ride down. The 403 highway provided some tricky traffic as a mudslide in Hamilton provided some action. This was particularly tough for one of our loyal fans nicknamed the "Double Duece" but after some detours and delays we all found our way to the hotel in Brantford.

The Diamond Head Sprinklers Atom LL #1 team has had a great start to the 2014-15 season. We are now 8 games in and hold a very respectable record of 4-3-1 and are currently on a 3 game unbeaten streak. With the 3 losses of the 8 games being losses against the 2 undefeated Stayner teams, we have played great all around hockey and managed to achieve that hard fought record. The coaching staff has seen improvements in all aspects of the game from this team and have been impressed by their dedication.
