Novice Rep, U9, 2012-2013 (Elmvale Minor Hockey)

McLaren Equipment Ltd along with the Barrie Colts held an open house on December 15 collecting new, unwrapped toys for boys and girls.  The Novice Rep Elmvale Coyotes sponsored by McLaren Equipment made a stop before their game against Stayner to support this worthy cause.  On hand, signing autographs were Cody Brown, and C.J. Garcia from the Barrie Colts along with their team mascot Charlie Horse.  The team enjoyed the event and appreciated the goodies from McLaren Equipment.

The Novice Rep Elmvale Coyotes opened the Silver Stick Tournament in a special ceremony with the Wasaga Beach Stars on Friday night to commemorate the 40th Anniversary of the tournament being held at Wasaga Beach. After speeches from the Mayor of Wasaga Beach and a member of the tournament organization committee, the puck was dropped by the Mayor. Cake, coffee and tea were being served up to all attendees while the Coyotes got to work on the ice.

The McLaren Equipment Novice Rep team travelled down to Lincoln for the 28th Annual Doug Robinson tournament.   The boys were a bit jet lagged after a long drive Friday morning but our goalie Jonas Columbus kept us in the game.  We squeaked out a 2-1 victory over St. Mary’s with goals from Brady McLaren and Alex Wickett.

The Novice Rep McLaren Equipment Elmvale Coyotes started their season on the road against some tough opponents.  The team fought hard during the first three games and even though they battled hard the scoreboard didn't reflect the excitement on the ice.  Losing to Collingwood, Penetang and Owen Sound they came home to play in front of their adoring fans which proved to be all the motivation the boys needed to pull off their first victory.
