Novice Molars Stars Shine in Battle to the Buzzer
The Novice Molars travelled to Wasaga Beach to face off against the
Stars on Wednesday night. After the Stars took a 1-0 lead early in
the first, the Molars started filling the net and were up 3-1 early in the
second period, which included Owen Clemens 1st ever goal in
organized hockey.
The coaching staff secured the puck from the referees and were able to present it to Owen after the game. Wasaga turned on their jets tying the game twice at 3-3 and then 4-4 with only 1:28 left in the game. Wednesday’s Game Puck recipient Garreth Sturgess completed his hat trick with only 16.6 seconds left to give the Molars an “edge of your seat” 5-4 win which was beautifully set up by Owen Faris who scored our other goal.
