Elmvale Home Building Centre Bantam AE Team plays Collingwood AE
Saturday November 3rd saw the Collingwood
Blackhawks roll into town and Elmvale took the ice with confidence.
Hoping for another stellar goaltending performance from Tristan our team
came out strong and outplayed Collingwood in a scoreless first period.
Elmvale drew first blood at 13:27 with Thomas Maw scoring his first of
two goals. A minute later Collingwood tied the score with a powerplay
goal at 12:19.
But Elmvale regained the lead at the 7:28 mark with Thomas scoring his second assisted by Noah Bouzis and Aidan McKinstry. The goal capped off a nice defensive zone breakout. Elmvale held the lead until midway through the third when Collingwood scored 2 goals in 2 minutes and took the lead. We had a tough challenge in trying to stay out of the penalty box but our penalty killers worked hard when they had to. It was nice to have Thomas and Noah back in the lineup. Our next game is Tuesday night at home against Owen Sound AE.
