WildCats tame Coyotes
On Tuesday Nov 27th the Elmvale Home Building Centre Bantam AE Team were at home
to face-off against the visiting Coldwater Wildcats. Midway through the first
it was Coldwater who found the scoreboard first taking the lead of 1-0. Late in
the first Thomas Maw intercepted a pass for a breakaway chance and made no
mistake in putting the Coyotes on the board tying the game at 1-1.
The Coyotes battled hard in the second and carried most of the play but it was Coldwater that made the most of their chances beating Coyote netminder Tristen Chiasson twice to go up 3-1. With under 5 minutes to play in the second, Maw would score his second on a nice feed from Noah Bouzis, closing the gap to 3-2. With just 52 seconds left in the second, Maw found himself on yet another breakaway and completed the trick, tying the game at 3-3.
Once again the Elmvale Coyote third period penalty woes would get them in trouble and Coldwater was able to take advantage, running the score up to 5-3. The Coyotes would put on a late charge and Charlie Flieger found himself alone in front of an empty net on a pass from Jason Flury to bring the Coyotes within 1. This would be as close as the Coyotes would get and the game ended with The Elmvale Home Building Centre Bantam AE Coyotes taking the loss 5-4.
