Legion Tyke #1 Continues Solid Play
After their first back to back weekend the Legion Tyke #1 team is continuing to improve their play and continuing their winning ways.
On Saturday afternoon the Coyotes pulled out a win over the Coldwater Wildcats. Tyke #1 was a little short staffed with 3 players missing, but William came up and played well in their stead.
Trenton worked hard all game and was rewarded with his 1st hat trick of the season (and the super sport sweatin to the oldies player of the game) in the 6-3 victory.
On Sunday afternoon Tyke #1 took on Tyke #3. With Ty, Tyler, and Quintin back in the lineup (but now with Nathan on the DL) Tyke #1 came up with a great effort, and netted a 9-0 win.
Carlos & Cameron had near misses as they threatened to bulge the twine for the 1st time this year. Ty, Trenton, Rylan, and Nathan all played great defence in support of Tyler who would record his 1st shut out of the year.
Quintin scores 2 and awarded the super duper hard worker of the game. While our thanks go out to Kent who was on hand to keep those in attendance dancing to the music. The Diamond Head Cup 3 Stars were:
1 - Gavin (Tyke #3 > .988 Save Percentage)
2 - Jackson (Tyke #1 > 1G 1A and a 3 game goal scoring streak)
3 - Tyler (Tyke #1 > Win and Shutout)
The Legion Tyke #1 hit the ice Friday for their final practice before Christmas, and then Saturday in Penetang for their final game before Christmas.
